how can i add hikashop cart icon with count

Hi,

I have seen that this topic is already discussed on forum, but still i couldn't achieve the result.
The problem is I couldn't understand where to place the correct code!

I have placed a cart icon (thanks to the template provider) via hikashop mini cart module in my website, when it clicked it shows the cart status on drop down (cart is empty or 'x' items for "Rs.xxx"). This is fine. But I want to display the count in numeric (number of products added in the cart as bubble) on the cart icon.

Could you please guide me in simple steps (easy to follow) to achieve this one?

Hi,

You need to remove what you did and have the normal HikaShop cart module there.
Then, there are two steps:
- active the "mini cart" setting of your HikaShop cart module via the Joomla modules manager. Configure it to have it display how you want when you hover/click on the text of the cart module.
- use translation overrides to change the default text of the cart module so that instead of saying "X items for YINR", you have "HTML of your cart iconX", and when you have the "the cart is empty", you change it to "HTML of your cart icon0".

Doing it like that shouldn't require any code change.
