Script code gets distorted when applying a layout override

-- HikaShop version -- : 4.2.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.12
-- PHP version -- : 7.2.20
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 77.0.3865.90

When we apply an override (from the Hikashop backend) to the show_block_fields view (checkout) the inline javascript on the page in the browser gets 'distored'. This is really weird...

The script tags looks like this after adding the override:

<s-cript> type = 'text/j-avascript">

Some hypens are add. Ans nog the scipt shows up as content on the page. Not what we want ;-)

I have tried it on two different sites with the same result. On different servers.

The script is actually present that way in the html template override folder in the template folder. So this somehow happens when Hikashops writes the code to the template folder. I have bene able to coreect this in the ovveride 'manually' but only for the first javascipt part. I can not find the second piece in this override file.

Any thoughts?

Kind regards,
Jip

Hi,

That's not something done by HikaShop but by a security extension on your website or a security module of your server.
You should deactivate that or do the overrides differently (via the Joomla override system or via FTP).

OK thanks Nicolas, I will try to override 'manually' for now.
