Our store is located in the US—how do we change 'TOTAL with VAT' so that it simply reads 'TOTAL'?

Hi,

You can use a translation override:
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify
Note however that if you use the en-US language file, you should have instead "Total with taxes" and not "Total with VAT". So I suspect you're using the en-GB language file which is normally for the UK:

Installed the en-US language file and it still says TOTAL with VAT

Also, I'm not sure what to do with the file you sent

Hi,

Note that you need to configure your website (in Joomla), to use en-US instead of en-GB if you want that the en-US file of HikaShop to be taken into account.

And anyways, you can just do a translation override for the en-GB language, that's not a problem. Just follow the instructions of the link I gave:
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify

FYI—The website is set to en-US but it still says TOTAL with VAT

Did a language override.

With the English-US Langauge file, the zip code is also placed before the City and State, not normal for US use. Normal use would have the zip doe following the City and State.

Hi,

The position of the custom fields is not controlled by the language. It's controlled by the order you have them it in the Display>custom fields menu.
The default order is the one we use in the EU.

That's not what we're seeing. The fields under the Display>custom fields menu are in the order we want them:

City
State
Zip Code

But the emails that go out display them in this order:

Zip Code
City
State

The default language is set to English-US

Hi,

Please provide a screenshot of the Display>Custom fields with the top right filter set to "address" (to only see address custom fields) as well as a screenshot of the result on your frontend.
I want to make sure that we're talking about the same thing.

I don't see a filter at all but here's a screenshot of the back and front end, and as you can see the zip code appears before the City and State in the 'emails'.

It is the emails we're trying to fix. Language is set to English-US

Hi,

Ah, so your issue is with the address in the emails ?
That's just because you need to modify the "address format" setting under the "checkout" tab of the Hikashop configuration to adapt it to the format of address you want.
