Hide Custom Field In Checkout Over Certain Order Value

Hi

I have created a radio button custom field as per attachment. The idea it that if the customer pays the deposit payment only then they have to specify the shipping option they would like when the order is ready to be sent. This list is only required if the order is under a certain value. So is there a way to hide that custom field if the order is higher than the limit set.

I changed it to a dropdown and the customer was happy with it as it is for the time being.
