Some orders missing shipping address

Every once in a while some of our orders are completely missing the "Shipping Address" from both the order inside Hikashop "orders" and the notification email.
When I try to reproduce the issue, the shop forces me to either leave the "Same address for shipping" checkmark on, or if I turn it off it presents me with a separate shipping address to fill.

What could be causing these orders to come in without th shipping address? If a customer unchecks the "Same address for shipping" and then forgets to fill in the shipping address, I get a pageful of errors, so that cannot be it.

I checked the status of the account from the last order that was missing a shipping address and what I found was interesting:

The Order was missing the shipping address
The account itself was in someone else name but both names (the account holder and the separate billing and shipping account) had both the shipping and billing addresses on record.
I attached a sanitized screenshoot of both the invoice/order and the account

Here is a screenshot of the User Profile. Note that it has two billing and shipping addresses one for a "Joseph" and one for a "Betsy" each with different addresses. There is no missing "Shipping Address" in the profile



In the order we have a Missing "Shipping address" as can be seen in the order screenshot:


What could be causing this?

Hi,

If you don't get any shipping address nor shipping method in the order, it indicates that you probably have products without weight in the cart and that you have the "force shipping regardless of weight" setting of the HikaShop configuration turned off.
In such cases, having a shipping address attached to the order is not enforced. It can still have one, especially if you go through the login view's registration form with the shipping address checkbox/form. But for example, if you login with a user account without any shipping addresses, it could technically let you pass the checkout without shipping address.

Indeed I think that was the issue. I didn't realize that all the sales with the missing shipping address were newer products that my client had entered on his own and forgot (of thought it not important) to put a weight on it.
I should have noticed that myself, so thank you for making it easier for me to find the cause of this.
