When checking out HikaShop forces me to register and I have no option to check out as guest, which I would like to set as default. How do I do this with the basic Version?
Thanks for your help.

Best regards,
Viki

Hello,

You have to go to your Main HikaShop configuration, click Checkout tab, then Login & Registration part :

Reproduce this configuration, and that may give you what you need.

Is this not possible in the free version? - see attachment, this is what I get.
Thanks
Viki

I am not able to place an order at all as it says "registration not allowed" - so does the shop not work with the free version?

Hi,

The guest checkout is indeed a key feature of the Essential and Business editions. So you can't do it with the Starter edition.
However, the message "registration not allowed" is there because you've disable the creation of new accounts in the settings page of your Joomla user manager. Activate it, and you'll be able to see the registration form instead of that message, and proceed to the checkout.

Hi ,

using even HikaShop Business: 4.4.0, I'm not able to get guest checkout running.
I've already spend hours on it, checking (and re-checking) all configurations provided in the manual, workflows or other board messages.

Despite all tries, I'm always asked to enter the registration email (indicated as a mandatory field), which of cause prevents a guest checkout.

Please help, as I'm forced to finalize our shop asap.

Thanks & best regards

Hi,

The email is mandatory even for guest checkouts.
However, that won't create a Joomla user account for your customers if you have the "registration" setting set to "guest".
If you really don't want the email field, then you have to remove the whole "login" view from your checkout workflow.
