If you have the guest checkout, you can't put the captcha after the password field since there is no password field on the guest form.
You should change it to "email".
If you doni't want the captcha to display after the email, you could activate the "invisible mode" of the plugin.
Also, you're using a really old version of the plugin. So the issue you have is probably linked to that.
