Cannot create new client account

Hi there,

My Hikashop checkout process stalls at the Create an Account stage. Whatever a new user tries to create an account they are sent back to the homepage with an error message : Avertissement - Vous devez indiquer un mot de passe! (it's a French site).

What's odd is that the Hikashop Client account and the Joomla User account are, in fact, created during this process. I've tried this with the simplified account option, which doesn't ask for a password, and get the same results.

I hope you can help me with this - been working on the problem for days, trying every option...

Hi,

If I access the registration page of Joomla (vuia the "connexion" link and then the "créer un compte" link) and register, I then get redirected to the homepage and I can see that I'm automatically logged in to Joomla.
That's not a capability of Joomla by default as far as I know. Normally, I should see a page with a thank you message and still be logged out.
So I think that you must have some kind of extension (probably a plugin) which automatically logs in the user after the registration and which must mess with HikaShop's registration process as it doesn't find the information it expects when trying to do the auto login since we're using different names for the input fields in the registration form of HikaShop.

Hi Nicolas,

You found the problem...! We had an old plugin installed on the site, Webemus - Autologin, which was blocking the checkout process for new customers. Thank you so much for your help.
