Checkout wont return to URL when cart emptied

-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.26
-- PHP version -- : 7.3.27
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Version 1.23.75 Chromium: 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (64-bit)
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : No Error message

-- HikaShop version -- : 4.4.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.26
-- PHP version -- : 7.3.27

I am having the issue, if I edit the Characteristics in the cart and it has options, you only see the Characteristics and not the options in the edit screen.
Once you select "OK" the options disappear.

So I have deleted all the Characteristics and am now only using options.

I can edit the options in the cart as in the attached image.

But if I delete the product from the cart or in the checkout screen, neither return to the URL which worked when I had Characteristics in the product.

Any help ideas would be appreciated.

P.S. My site is under development for this weekend launch, so its turned off.

Hi,

I'm not able to reproduce the issue. For a product without characteristics with options, when I delete it in the cart view of the checkout (supposing that there are no other products in the cart) I get redirected to the cart empty URL. Even if I delete it after I edit and save the options via the edit icon of the cart view.
So either I missed something in the procedure to reproduce or it's something specific to your website.
So first, we'll need an access and precise instructions to be able to reproduce there.

Nicolas,

If you use the brave browser (as I do), the delete single (only item) out of the cart empties the cart and returns to the cart screen with no items in the cart. If you checkout then, it shows Billing and Shipping and a total cost and not returning to the URL as specified.

If you use chrome and do the same steps, returns to the cart screen with no items in the cart. Then if you checkout it takes you back to the specific URL.

I have opened up the site so you can see.

Using Brave Browser (Brave is up to date Version 1.24.82 Chromium: 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Go https://candlesalight.shop/our-products/product/diffuser-car-hanging-10ml-square-black/category_pathway-19

Add to Cart
Go to Cart
Delete the one item
Returns to cart screen with no items
Go to checkout (should go to products url), shows no items but shipping and payment with total

Using Chrome (Google Chrome is up to date Version 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Go https://candlesalight.shop/our-products/product/diffuser-car-hanging-10ml-square-black/category_pathway-19

Add to Cart
Go to Cart
Delete the one item
Returns to cart screen with no items
Go to checkout goes to products url as it should.


And this is all products with options only no characteristics

Go https://candlesalight.shop/our-products/product/luxury-vogue-glass-500ml-frosted-white/category_pathway-12

This product has characteristics and options, you will see when you edit in the cart the lost options
Add to Cart
Go to Cart
Edit the one item
The options have disappeared
OK
Delete the one item out of the cart
Returns to cart screen with no items
Go to checkout goes to products url as it should.

I just tried to test it using the "Brave" browser, but I had the following error message :

403: Access Forbidden
Your location (FR) has been disallowed.

Hi,

I've installed the Brave browser just to test this, so I have the latest version, same as you.
I completed these exact steps

Go candlesalight.shop/our-products/product/.../category_pathway-19

Add to Cart
Go to Cart
Delete the one item
Returns to cart screen with no items
Go to checkout

And I properly get redirected to candlesalight.shop/our-products with the "The cart is empty" message :

So that's strange as I'm not able to reproduce the issue. Are you still able to reproduce the issue ? Did you change anything ? Are you logged in when you reproduce this ? Do you have any extensions oinstalled n your Brave browser ?

Regarding your last point

This product has characteristics and options, you will see when you edit in the cart the lost options

however, that's something we've fixed a few days ago. Download again the install package of the 4.4.2 and install it on your website and you'll get the patch for it.

Thank for your time and testing, I have reinstalled the version to 4.4.2 and the options now work in the edit of the products.

Also, seems to work with the return to the correct URL when cart emptied, this was after I cleared browser history and cache files on the server.

The attached were before the server cache clearance.
