registration check befor proceeding to checkout

Hi,
when my customers come to the checkout process they first need to click on the shopping cart.
So far so good. So they see their items in the cart. Also fine so far. (picture Warenkorb)
Then they need to start the checkout - process.
So the click on "Kasse" (checkout in english).
Then the site 2 (picture checkout appears).
In this case this isn´t a nice look and feel for a customer.
It would be great to split the page into to pages.
First: register and then login or login..... or select: buy as guest
Second: initiate the checkout-process.....

How can we solve this? This should always result in a new page, as common on other platforms....
