Hi,
We use guest checkout on this site and added 2 customfields for e-mailaddresses.

Is there a way to compare them to make sure they are the same?
Or is this not the right way to go?

Thanks,
Nico

Hi,

What is your goal in doing that ?
If your goal is to make sure that the user entered a correct email address by having him enter the email address twice, then you don't need custom fields.
You just have to activate the "Display email confirmation field" setting under the Checkout tab of the HikaShop configuration and the guest form will automatically have two email fields instead of one.
If your goal is something else, then I'm not sure what you're trying to do so I would need more information to be able to answer.

Hi, thanks, that was what I was looking for. Got a bit lost because of the location of this option.
As a guest I'm choosing not to login or register so that is why I probably did not thinks about this option for guest checkout.

Maybe a thing to consider is to change the explanation/label a bit to reflect this.

Thanks for the quick response !

Hi,

Well, there is nothing which indicates that it would be limited to the registration though.
But I guess we can add an sentence to specify that it will work for both registration and guest forms, yes.
Thanks for the feedback.
