Product guide for products

Hi guys

I need some help to see, if my little project can be done easily with Hikashop.

I have the webshop www.e-blaek.dk which are selling supplies for ink-printers.

What I am searching for, is a module, plugin or whatever - that I can add to the left side of the webpage. I'm thinking of having two dropdowns. One with a list of manufactures and one with the printer models included.

When costumers chooses the manufacter, the models for their printers should be avalible to choose in the model-dropdown. When costumers chooses a specifik model, the products should appear.

Is this something that could be done easily with a module or...?

Hi,

You could create custom fields of the table "product" (menu Display->Custom fields) in order to enter the model and the manufacturer for each product. Then, you would create two filters, one for each field, with their dynamic display option turned on. And finally, you would configure the HikaShop filter module to display the filters on the left of a products listing listing all the products of your shop.
And you will be able to have such function.
Note that filters are only available in the Business edition.

Okay Nicolas. I've now tried to make the things you said I should... But it seems like I can't get it to work? Do you have any suggestions? I'm not very pro in Hikashop Modules or so, but maybe you can guide me? I've attached screenshots from the changes I've made. Maybe you could take a look and see if I missed anything.

I can't see any filter module on the left side you the page www.e-blaek.dk/hp/product/22665-hp-no300-black
Could you provide a link to the page with the filter ? Also, it would be great if you could tell us in what way "it doesn't work". Do you get an error ?
Could you also provide a screenshot of the hikashop options of the menu that you selected in the "menu" option of the filter module ?
