Hi to all guys, i have a questio, my site is a market online and i want to introduce the search button for search the product that i'm selling... There is a way to do it? i have the free version of hikashop

Hi,

HikaShop have a joomla search plugin which allow you to use the native Joomla search in order to search into the HikaShop products (and HikaShop categories).
You have to publish the plugin in your plugin mananger : HikaShop products search plugin
Don't hesitate to take a look at his configuration if you want to change the searched fields or the number of returned elements.

the category search and product search plugin are active and public, but i don't understand how can i show on my site :S

Once you activate them, you can use the Joomla search module on your website to search in products/categories. You can configure it via the joomla modules manager.

I still can't find the module, when i go in module manager i just find:
HikaShop Content Module
HikaShop Currency Switcher Module
HikaShop Cart Module

These are HikaShop modules. I'm talking about the Joomla search module.
If you don't have it, it means that you installed joomla without all the default joomla modules preconfigured. So you can create a new search module: www.siteground.com/tutorials/joomla-video/search-module.htm

i'v create the search module, but, really, sucks XD there isn't a specific search that allow me to search in my product or category and display the image of the product? not only a name... sorry for create you so much trouble XD

Yes, the search module of joomla doesn't display the results really nicely.
An alternative is to use HikaShop's filter module which can be used as a search module but displaying the results as a standard HikaShop products listing:
