multi-lang site

so my question is simple. I know how to create a multilanguage site NOT using joomfish or falang (esp on joomla3) as ppl i contacted on forums said there are still alot of issues. The core multi-lang works for me just fine as that way i have full control over everything. I realise that that brings with it some extra work of creating duplicate menu's etc.

Now my question is it possible to set up 2 different shops in such a way too. So where i create one shop for nl, and a seperate one for eng and ofc where only the appropriate items are displayed depending on language selected.

Yes it is possible to have two part in the shop, you can create two different categories of products, one for "nl" and another for "en". Then fill the products in the correct category with the correct language. and create many menus / modules for each language as for the default Joomla menus.
You can too create different payment / shippings methods restricted to one category, etc.

This way you will have a multilangue website without FaLang or JoomFish.
The only issue is for the items stock. You have to have two separate stocks, or manage manually the stocks, or create a plugin to change dynamically the stock of the item in "en" if one has been bought in "nl" for example.

Well since my products are virtual and infinite there shouldn't be anything to manage as far as the stock goes. I'll give it a try and shout back if i need some more help

** edit °° is there something specific i need to do or avoid to prevent display of other language content. Specific module or settings?
