When you create a product you need to select each level of the category tree step by step to have the product show up in each category along the tree line.
Is there a way so that, when you select a child category, all parent categories all the way up to root is where the product will be visible in?
If the tree depth is deep, you have to add a lot of categories to achieve this effect for each product.

Side note: Product code is now translated as "Kupong" for some reason in the Swedish translation. This should be "Artikelnummer". Kupong in Swedish means coupon.

Hello,
1.
I didn't fully understood the issue that you were having, so can you give me more information through some screenshots for example.
Also note that if you want to display all your parent and child categories, you'll just have to use the filter dropdown at the top of the tab and set it to "All sub elements".

2.
The solution will be to directly set check your translation file through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Languages".

Here's the screenshot:

The problem is, with the current category selected in the image, the product will only show up in that sub-category.
I want the product to show up in all parent categories as well without having to add the parent categories to the product.

In this case, I would have to add 3 (edit: 4 more also counting the root category) more categories (all of the parent categories), just to achieve this effect.
This image below explains how it would look like when done, and the deeper the category chain the more tedious it gets to do this. It should just be a one click operation, select the sub-category and automatically have the product set on all parent categories as well.

Basically, you should just have to do this once, by selecting the sub-category and be done.
An option while creating the relation would be great.

I have found out how it works now.
This problem is now solved.
In the menu item you create you can select if you want it to show all products for all sub elements or just direct ones.
