No textfield as an extra field in the productpage

Hi,

I use an extra field in the productpage so a customer can fill in a color.
But on the productpage, the extra field shows up as text, not as a textfield.
Can someone help me out with this?

That's because you have created a custom field in the product table instead of in the item one
