Created & deleted productcategories / products

-- PHP version -- : 5.6.6
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : chrome latest
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : error
A product with this code already exists

error Storage

Hello,

I my hikashop site i created some productcategories en products, but I also deleted some of them.
After a while i wanted to make some new categories & products but htey had the same name.
So i get the message that they already exist, but they where deleted, now i can't create a new one with the same name.

Is there also a garbadge can wich i have to empty the same as in Joomla?
If there is one, where can I find it?

If there is not, is there someone who can help me to solve this problem?

Hi,

The product code is just related to the "hikashop_product" table ; there is no link with the "product category".
Please check that you right delete the product and you didn't just delete the product categories of the products.
Because you could remove all categories of a product without deleting it ; at this moment you could have products without any category so products that you can't see in the product listing in the backend (or in the front-end).

At this moment the best is to use the "check database" in the HikaShop configuration where is some tasks to find the "lost" products.

It is a button in the toolbar, near "save & close" and "save".

So what about if you enter the same product name but with a different product code ? Does it work ok ?
