how do i create a search bar?

i've tried using both joomla search and advance search with hikashop product and category search plugin activated. When searching nothing comes up from the search modules.

Do you have filled the settings of the plugins "HikaShop products search plugin" and "HikaShop categories search plugin" ?

The settings seems to be correct, so if they are published the Joomla search module should give results.

Could you try to use the id of a product listing menu directly for the product search plugin ? That menu can be a hidden one.

Another solution could be to use the HikaShop filters, that way you can have a search and display the results as a product listing, and not as a search result.
