Custom entry form 4 products inside certain catego

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.8

I understand that the 'Layout on product Page' setting lets me assign a certain product view for those products inside a certain category.



but,

can I define also a certain form view for data entry on those products that are NEW created in the backend when this certain category is selected?

Hi,

You can create custom fields of the table "item" which will display on the product page on the frontend, and you can restrict them to only some categories.
You can do the same on the backend with custom fields of the table "product".

Ok. I understand this but I see this is very limited as a solution.

Please consider as a future feature the possibility to select an alternative form.php layout for editing products inside a certain category. This would bring a lot more comfortability to final users as you can guide them on how exactly to fill the product form in those cases that products are specially different from the typical product type inside the shop.
