help with default characteristic

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.8
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.29
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : FIREFOX 45

im selling some tickets for football games...

ive created 4 characteristics titled "games" and ive told it to list the 4 games in a dropdown... when i open up the product and add a characteristic im unable to add the default--- where can i add this and how...

can someone please help me here... i cant add the options to my products--keeps asking for default and ive got no clue what that is...

Hi,

For management of variants ; please read that documentation page :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/i...ct-form.html#variant

Please make sure that you add values to the characteristics before adding them to your products and you should be able to select a default value when adding the characteristic.

Thats the problem that I'm having....the characteristics are added I just can't add them to the products cause its asking for the default value ---

Where do i edit the variants at??? I'm not seeing a variants tab anywhere---very frustrating and i dont know what im doing wrong here...

Hello Trey,

Did you set some values through your characteristic configuration page ("Hikashop->Products->Characteristics") ? If you did, then you should have some Default values available for your characteristic when you add it to your product configuration page.

Also, you'll see a variant tab only if you have set some characteristics on your product configuration page.

i could never get it to show the variants... i ended up uninstalling> clearing out the tables and performing a clean install with the sample data...

now i see the variants
