Confused by structure of Hikashop

I installed Hikashop a week back and am struggling to grasp the structure of it.
I'm building an art website for several artists work I show in my businesses physical gallery. At the moment, each artist has a single article page - using JCE editor - with a photograph of the artist and an artist biog at the top of the article.
I want to place their paintings below this article content, using Hikashop to sell the pictures.
Whats the best way to achieve what appears to be a simple layout?
Should I use a separate products module within each article, showing all that artists products/paintings? Is that even possible?
Or, should I create categories and products for each artist within Hikashop, and use products pages/layouts? If I do that, how do I add artist biog/photograph content above the products on the pages.
I'm hoping the solution is pretty straight forward, but can't figure out how to achieve it.
I'm using the Protostar template and Hikashop Business.

Hi,

Both solutions are possible. The simplest is the first one I guess since you already have your articles and access to them setup.
So first make sure that you have one category for each artist in HikaShop and that the products of that artist are in that category.
Then, go in the Joomla modules manager, click on the "new" button, select the "hikashop content module" and publish it in a position that you don't use. Then, in the HikaShop options of the module, select the type "product" and the artist you want as "main category" of the module.
After that, use the loadposition system of Joomla to add the module to the article:
docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F
And then just repeat the process for each artist and you'll be all set.
