Hi,
We are looking into a website design for a client who manages the online purchasing and direct delivery of fruit and vegetables and are looking for some advice on how best to adapt hikashop to suit their business.
Their current website
www.sallynpatricks.com.au/
allows a customer to subscribe to a weekly delivery service and can be invoiced automatically.
As part of their current system they have a route list that collates customer delivery addresses that can be manually rearranged for a given suburb or district to create a more efficient route for that particular delivery. Once a customer has been given a position in the list they retain that position for all future transactions unless their address changes. If a new customer is added their address must be given an initial position manually that is then retained for future deliveries.
Customers who may have subscribed to a weekly service (eg $30 boxed delivery) are also given the choice to swap out certain products each week as needed (up to a certain cut off period) before that weeks delivery takes place. The cost of the service doesn't change ($30) regardless of what products are swapped (eg swapping 500g carrots for 500g tomatoes) and the options given to the client to swap products are of similar value.
The client also makes use of a master list that is used to rearrange the order of products in the invoice, this is done to assist with the packing in each delivery box and factors in things such as weight, shape and size so as not to damage any produce. They can also adjust the price of each item in a single list without going into each item, this is important to be able to do quickly as their prices can vary throughout the week and they stock over 300 different products at any one time.
Is there any specific recommendation for how such a system should be emulated within hikashop, their current system was built using asp and was largely a custom job, however they want to modernize their site and make it mobile responsive, easier to maintain etc.
Any advice would be welcome,
Cheers
