Here are my questions for a client that is interested in hikashop:

1. Membership
Membership - he is wanting to create membership on the general site. If a user registers for membership on the general site - that is combined with hikashop functionality, correct? Or, how would we need to set this up so that the membership login worked with Hikashop for registration, wish lists, etc.

2. Email upon shipment
If the client marks the order as shipped in hikashop - will an email automatically be generated to let the customer know it has shipped? Or, how would we need to set this up so that the customer would be notified when the order has shipped?

3. If an item is a gift, people won't want a priced invoice to ship with the product. Is there a way for the client to be notified that the product is a gift so they can mark invoice price to "0" (or as a gift receipt) before shipping?

4. Can client manually alter invoices in the backend of hikashop pretty easily?

5. And, can they print out an invoice for each order?

Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Hi,

1. I'm not sure I understand your question. If the memberships are handled on the same website where HikaShop is installed and that you use a well known membership extension for Joomla, it should automatically create standard joomla users which will be seen automatically by HikaShop and vice versa.

2. When you change the status of an order, there is a checkbox you can use to notify the customer automatically.

3. Usually, you don't send the invoice in that case but you send the shipping invoice (the button next to it when you edit an order in the backend) which is the same as the invoice but without the prices.
And if you want to ask your users about that, you can create a custom order field via the menu Display->Custom fields.

4. Yes. The orders can be completely modified in the backend.

5. Yes.
