If they have an account on your website they will have an account with your shop. it uses Joomla's user data.

The only difference would be if you require an address on sign up in Hikashop (this is a setting in Configuration), they may have to fill that out.

Hi,
1. Hikashop use Joomla user, so you'll just have to registrate/login and finalize your order.

Hi again

Something is important for me is that I wish if I could disabled email as required field and make mobile number required. The best thing is making email or phone number optional just like Facebook
I'm using acysms but it just make account active and don't have a sign up system
If I use hikashop shop user registration forms for main menu can I do this something like this ?

Tanks

Hi,

If you use HikaShop for registration, you can add desired field to the registration and set them as required or not.
To sue HikaShop form for registration in any case, you can enable the HikaShop registration redirect plugin.

Hi

I enable the HikaShop registration redirect plugin.
it is good idea but two problem

1- email is still requirement and it is not optimal and i can disable it .

2-i make some filed like address as required filed because without address how i can post theie order. if i want to get all the information like postal address , postal code and .. registration form come very long and it take time to fill it. i want to make registration form short and small.
i want user / pass / mobile before order and nothing more !!!

Hello,
If you want to enable your customers to checkout without registering, you'll just have to
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Set the "Display method for registration" option to All in one page
- Set the "Registration" option to Guest

Hi,

There is no option to remove the email requirement unless you completely remove the "login" and "address" views from the "checkout workflow". In that case, no email, no address, nothing will be asked to the user during the HikaShop checkout.

Hi,

What can potentially be done at this time is a plugin which will edit the address data before the Joomla registration.
Do a translation override on "email" and replace it by "phone number" for example.

Then in the plugin, edit the phone number value to the phone number plus a fake email address, for example an email address with your domain name.
Change value from: 5558885555 to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

This way Joomla will accept the registration, and on login, when customer enter its phone number add the "@yourdomain.com" part in the plugin to validate the check.

It require good PHP knowledges and Joomla plugin API. It is more a Joomla issue than an HikaShop one ;)
