Waitlist Customer Emails

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.5
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.4

Is there anyway I can get customer emails from the waitlist? I would like to use this feature as a pre-order for product that is out of stock. Then I can contact them and ask for deposit etc.

Did you do both of these steps:

  • Enable the "HikaShop Product Wait List Notification plugin"?
  • In the backend configuration, "Activate Waitlist feature"?

Also, if the latter is set to "On a per product basis", you'll need to turn it on for each product where you want it.

Yes I did all that and the waitlist button appear fine.
My point is I want to know customer email addresses in order to contact them directly rather than having the component sending them automated emails.

Note that you'll be able to have through the waitlist listing via "Hikashop->Orders->Waitlist".

Ah I see! That's great.

One more question, Is it possible to add more fields for waitlist? At the moment there are name and email only.

What kind of fields would you want to add ?
HikaShop have the custom field feature on the "contact" ; it would be possible to add the custom fields for the waitlist but I'm not sure to see what it can really provide.

As I mentioned I'd like to use it as a pre-order option for out of stock product. If I can add a field where customers can put their phone number in that would be awesome because I would like to be able to give them a call back to ask them for a deposit.

And not use the "contact" feature ?
The waitlist feature is there to send automatic emails to people when the product have regain some stock ; that's why your use of the feature is not the right one for me ; you won't be able to use the data in the waitlist because it's already in a automatic process.
