Hey there!

I am having some issues with the Hikashop registration process,

1) It appears that users aren't able to register account into the joomla - there's the guest checkout form - and it will let them register over and over again - it will say "Thanks for registering" - but they don't register in the joomla, and the thank you for registering email is not triggered either. your help on this issue is kindly requested,

2) Also, i would like to make it so that the user will check out as guest - but in the registration - i would like them to register also with the password, how can i do this? i couldn't figure this out...

thanks,

Joe

Hi,

Would it be possible to have more details about your HikaShop configuration (for the registration settings) and about your Joomla registration settings ?

Hey Jerome!

What i did to sort this for now is use the simple registration instead of guest, the user checks out with only filling in his email and adress,
and then i have registration and he is automatically sent a password,
i would rather have a real guest checkout - but if possible to have the registration with password for the form,
and right now it appears the registration process is unified for the whole site.

for future development perhaps it would be nice to have a hikashop registration module that you can configure differently from the default checkout mode, or different settings for registration form and the check-out...
if there's a way i can over-ride this behaviour please let me know!
thanks,
Regards,

Joe

Hello,
If you want you customer to purchase your products with guest checkout or by registrating, you'll have to :
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Set the "Display method for registration" option to Switcher
- Set the "Registration" option to Guest and Registration

This happens if more than one payment methods are available. And after returning back (using back browser's button) the error message for no payment method selected is shown (multiple times)

If only one payment method exists the issue is not present.

Hi,

How did you configure your checkout workflow ?
Could you provide a screenshot ?

I found that if I change the workflow and put the payment in the first step, there is no problem.

Is this the way to fix it?

HI,

That's apparently one way to fix the issue.
But there are potentially other ways.
Maybe you could try to add a new step between the shipping/payment step and the login step with the address view in it ?
