[SOLVED] Email Address Already Used

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0

My clients have run their Hikashop set to requiring user registration for several years.

Now, because older people are still having difficulty registering, they have switched the Registration to 'GUEST'.



But it is causing an issue.

If someone has previously ordered it will not allow the same email address to be used again.
Any idea on what has to be done to have the system ignore Guest order email addresses?

Hello,
You can't have a user who already have a user account on your website "guest" checkout with the same email address as the one from his account.
So if you keep the "login" option turned on in the configuration, you can have these users login during the checkout so that they can use the account they already have in order to checkout. Or they can use another email address in order to "guest" checkout.

Understood.
That is what I told the client. Changing methods mid-stream would be problematic.

I turned on the Login Box on the registration form.
That should solve the issue for existing accounts.
