In our shop we sell downloads. Some downloads are small and some are larger > 8MB
the link to the download can be found in the invoice however, when customers click on the link the download is empty!

Can you tell me how to solve this problem?

Hi,

Does the link work if you click on it in the order details page of the backend ?
Is the file properly in the folder media/com_hikashop/upload/safe (with the correct size) of your website ?
Did you purchase the order while logged in or as a guest checkout ?
What was the URL of the download ?
Would you have some rules in your htaccess or on your web server configuration to compress automatically php files returned HTML ?

Hi,

I have checked the FTP and it seemed that some files are empty and some files are not. I do not know how this is possible, because I uploaded every single download. Anyway I have replaced all the empty files and they seem to work again.

Except when the download is a zip file with m4.a files.
It seems that people cannot open these file from de download link.

Is this extensions not support in HikaShop? And do I have to convert all these files to mp3 files?
Is it possible to attache more mp3 files in one product?

Hi,

Any extension will be downloadable as long as you allow it in the "allowed files" setting of the HikaShop configuration.
So there should be no need to convert them.
What is the problem when you click on the links for these files ?
Are you able to reproduce it yourself ?

Yes, you can attach as many files as you want to one product, that's not a problem.
