Hello,

Is it possible to have a login page which looks the same as the login at the checkout, including the register functionality on the same page.

What I want to have is a button in the topbar which allows the user to login/register in my shop. So I don't want a button for login and another one for register. It' s like on the checkout process with the two options (login/register) together on one page. Asit is right now, I first have to put something in my cart and proceed to checkout before I can login/register
I jsut want that login/register possibility whitout checkout. Is this possible?
Once logged in, I want to go to the account panel and have some user options in a menu.

Hi,

You can configure the Joomla "login" module via the Joomla modules manager if you want to provide a login anywhere on your website.
And if you want to provide a registration page, you can create a new menu item of the type "HikaShop user registration" via the Joomla menu manager.
You can combine both if you want a page with both the login and the registration.

Hello,
I know the two seperate item (login/menu) . As you proposed, I can combine the two, but my question is: how to combine these two?

Maybe you can give me a hint ?

As Nicolas said, you could create a new Joomla menu item of the type "HikaShop user registration". Just like any other Joomla menu item, you may add it to an existing menu. Or you could use a "hidden", unpublished menu, so you have a link which you could use for e.g. the button you mentioned, which you may want to place separately somewhere on your site.

You would then have a page with the registration form. To add the login, you could create a Joomla module of the type "Login" and assign it to the registration menu item, so it shows up on that page. Which module position you want to publish it to depends on your taste and template, but if you want it to look somewhat similar to the checkout, you may try to place it in a sidebar, preferably on the left.

If you're having further difficulties with it, it's recommended to study Joomla more, e.g. via some of the many tutorials on-line, because all of this is general Joomla procedure and not related to or depending on HikaShop.
