2 kind of accesses to site (member vs visitor)

Hello All of u Smart HikaShop users :) Well I am a beginner. I have a site...almost done and need some suggestions...help... I have created a shop and have a joomla registration form but my problem is that I have no idea how can I create 2 kind of accesses to the site. Only registered users supposed to have full access to the site which means...only they can see product prices and be able to purchase. Regular visitors can only see the product pictures but no prices and no purchase option! Please, help me with this issue. THANK U SO MUCH!!! :)

Hi,

You can do that with the Business edition. When you configure your product price, you can use the "ACL" icon to restrict the prices only to some user groups. Then, if you have the "display add to cart button for free products" setting of the HikaShop configuration turned off, the users who don't get the prices also won't be able to purchase the products.

Thank you for the response! Is there any other tricky way? Some kind of plugin? My client doesn't want to pay anything extra :unsure:

Hi,

Because the feature is something provided by HikaShop Business (a commercial edition of HikaShop), there is no "tricky way" or "free plugin" to do so.

After that, HikaShop is an open source software and you have the possibility to create your own custom plugins, create custom code in the views or modify the HikaShop core.

You have to possibility and the right to implement such feature yourself in your website.
But, the support team won't be able to help you to implement something which is already available in a commercial version of the software.
HikaShop starter allow you to create a full working e-commerce store with a lot of feature and a huge number of free (payment, shipping, etc) plugins but the team need to let some feature for the commercial edition in order to live and continue to work on the software.
