Hi there,

I'm trying to set Hikashop chekout so the customer don't have to create an account. I just want him to give his name, adresse and email and save those informations in hikashop database.

For my settings, have a look at the images below :

Everything's work well and just as I wish it too, except two things :
- The Name and Surname's fileds in my customer's list are empty.
- The surname field shows "Email" instead.

Here it is :

Any idea's ?

Hi,

This indicates that you configured your checkout registration mode as "guest".
That way, no Joomla user account is created for the customers.
And the username and name fields on the listing of HikaShop customers come from the Joomla user account. So it's normal that they are empty since you don't have user accounts for your customers.
For the title of the column for the username, it's probably that you've modified the translations with translation overrides:
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify
So it applies to the backend too.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Yes, I'm using the "guest" mode of checkout, as I don't want customers to create an account. But maybe it is not the best choice ?

What I want to do is this :

1. The customer validated his cart
2. He gives his name, adresse, mail, phone etc. (NO login, NO password)
2b. > those informations are saved in the "client" table of hikashop
3. He pays
4. We hope he's happy with our produits ;)

Can you tell me the best way to do this with Hikashop ?

Thanks.

Hi,

Why would you want that information to be saved in the "client" table of HikaShop ? With the way you set it up, these information is gathered, but in the address table of HikaShop, since they are part of the address of the user.
If you edit the client with the pencil icon of your screenshot, you should see the name in the addresses area.
