Registration not working

after doing the optional guest checkout and having some problems as explained in this post:

I just realized that registration on the site doesn't work. You can register, and when you press ok, it says "thank you for registering", but the user is not created, and it doesn't send any email.

Any idea why this might be happening?

Just fixed it. I changed to both registration and guest, and now works perfectly. Thank you!
