-- url of the page with the problem -- : gebrauchte.beamerstation.de/
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.2
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.25
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 49.0.1

Hi, i am nearly sure this is discussed allready but i don´t get it, sorry about that.

If a customer do a registration he has to fill his name and his adress and things like this. After that, he can log in an edit his Userprofile in the Login-Area. But all the data he just filled in the registration form does not appear in his userprofile. (It is the joomlauserprofil i found out at the forum)
So why is the data for the adress not filled in the userprofile but in the addressarea from hikashop? It is very uncomfortable for a customer to manage his user account if he has to fill the same data at least two times in a row.
I dont talk about custome fields in this case, all the fields are predefined from the registration form. (But it is also with the custome fields as well)
Is it possible to do a cronejob or a massaction to get the adressdata from a user to his userprofile, so he just has to complete his profile?
Thanks.

Hello,

I'm not able to reproduce your issue on your link ( gebrauchte.beamerstation.degebrauchte.beamerstation.de ).
My test processus was like this :
- Add a product to my cart and go to checkout.
- Make my registration, in the checkout (receive my registration email confirmation)
- Go back to your website (with the email link)
- Have a look on my account in "Verwalten Sie Ihre Adressen" and see this :

And, so can you be more specific, because from my point of view everything seems well work.
Awaiting news from you.

Regards

thanks for testing.
but it is not the one right "Verwalten Sie ihre Adresse", the problem is on the left at the point "Kontoeinstellungen bearbeiten" (accountSettings i think) which is the joomla useraccount i think but without all the data from the adress in the userprofil. A customer who will work on his account settings has to fill all the adress data again in this place.

Hi,

Then why not simply deactivate the address fields of Joomla if you don't want them ? You can even activate the HikaShop registration redirect plugin so that you always use the HikaShop registration form instead of the Joomla registration form so that you'll have the HikaShop address fields of HikaShop during the registration.

Yes that is a possibility. But i like the idea that a registered Customer finde some additional things he can fill in at his backend. If he stays in the backend and fill something out like website or About me he will identify more with my shop- In a futrestep i want to give all the customers the possibility to sell there owne technic in the shop with a upgrade to hika market. So my goal is the customers to hold in the backend and show them how easy it is to work with the backend.
in this context it is also difficult to understand why the VAT i entert in the registration now isnt showed in the backend now. I have read a lot of postings here in the forum about customefields so i think maybe i did some settings wrong or can solve this problem later. but it is a part of the same thing with the user registration and the user managment. Maybe i didnt understand the complexity of that at the moment.
I think it could also be possible to take the adressdata from one place and but them via crone, or massaction with one click or an automation to the other place. ( I sure can do that in my mysql database, but that is not a real solutin if i have to update my database everyday and /or after every new customer manually.
any idea how to solve this?

Hi,

1. If you want to have additional things, then you can create custom fields of the table "user" via the menu Display>Custom fields of HikaShop. They will also display on the HikaShop checkout and in the Joomla profile edition page.
So I don't see why what I propose wouldn't allow you to do that ?

2. I suppose that you're talking about the VAT number of the address. By default that custom field is disabled. Thus, it's not displayed in the addresses template. If you want to display it, you can edit the file "address_template" for both your frontend and your backend template via the menu Display>Views and rearrange the tags there and add additional tags for the custom address fields that you added.
