Rest password failed

-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.28
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.29
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 53.0.2785.143 (64-bit)

When a customer clicks 'forgotten password', they get the message 'Reset password failed: This user is blocked. If this is an error, please contact an administrator.' This occurs only with customers who haven't originally clicked the activation link. Is there any way to reset the passwords without manually unblocking them? TIA.

Hi,

I don't knwo about such possibility.
That's a Joomla core feature so I would recommend to ask on the Joomla official forum. Maybe someone there has a better idea.
