New Billing/Shipping Address displaying twice

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.5.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.10

Odd problem after update to hikashop 3.5.0. When a new address (billing or shipping) is added, it appears twice.

For example, use this link to add a product to the cart: www.testing.mojooutdoors.com/index.php?o...1&cid=695&Itemid=505

After registration/login, you will notice the behavior after adding an address. It displays twice every time. Additionally, if you edit an existing address and click "ok", the address is also saved and displaying twice.

Hi,

It looks like it's because of some view overrides you have regarding the address edition / selection area.
Try renaming the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/address and the file templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/checkout/show_block_address.php and it should help.

Already tried removing the customization on the view files. Same behavior. Both "editing" an existing address (see screenshot below) and adding a new one results in a duplicate entry.



For completeness, i also tried using the default joomla template and same behavior as I thought my template might be causing some strange javascript issue. Still no luck...

Hi,

I did a test like yesterday on your website and I don't have the problem anymore:

The test_hikashop address was added on the registration form, the test_hikashop2 was added with the new shipping address form after that with the "Address is also a billing address" checkbox unchecked. And for the test_hikashop3 it was added like the test_hikashop2 but with the checkbox checked.
So to me it looks like removing the overrides solved the issue.

Note that if you already had duplicated addresses for your user account, you'll still keep them duplicated unless you delete them.

There is still a duplicate entry if you edit an existing address and save it. I can now add a new one with no duplicate entry but still cannot properly edit an existing address.

Tried this with multiple accounts.

I have one follow up question regarding the addresses. Is there any way to only allow ONE shipping and ONE billing address? The multi address selection is not very useful for my customers and 99.99% of users only have 1 set of addresses.

Hi,

You could remove new address button using view override or you can just add some css like this:

.hikashop_checkout_address_new_button  {
display:none;
}

Hi,

Note that there is now a setting "Allow multiple addresses" for the Address view in the checkout workflow of the HikaShop configuration which will remove the new address buttons if turned off.
