Thank you for registering at XXXXXXX

Hello,
I'm testing User registration on my website. I have the registration redirect plugin active so now when a new user clicks the Create account or Register links on the site they are taken to the Hikashop registration form. once this is completed the next screen shown shows an error and a success

Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Looking in the backend the account is created in both core Joomla Users and Hikashop and I can login using these details.

Why am I seeing the first Warning message? Is this related to where the form is redirecting on submit? how can I remove this 'error' message form being displayed?

Thanks

Hi,

That's because after the registration process, HikaShop tries to auto log you in, since it knows your username and password at that point.
But for some reason, this fails.
I don't know why this would fail as it works fine on our end. I did the same test on your website and on mine with the same version of HikaShop and it worked fine on my end.
I'm afraid we'll need a backend and FTP access in order to debug the issue.
Could you provide that along with a link to this thread via our contact form so that we can analyze the situation ?

Hi,

Thank you for the access.
I checked your backend settings and I think I know where the problem comes from.
You've activated the "Authentication - EMail" plugin so that the authentication can be done using the email address of the user account.
But you've also deactivated the "Authentication - Joomla" plugin so that the authentication cannot be done using the username of the user account.
And the auto login system bases itself on the username+password of the user to auto login the user after the activation.
I would recommend to leave the "Authentication - Joomla" plugin enable. That way, users will be able to login either with their username or their email address, and the auto login will work.
