Customer can register without valid email address

-- HikaShop version -- : 4.3.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.20
-- PHP version -- : 7.3

Hi Hikashop,

We had a customer today that could register without a valid email address. The mail address ended on @kliksafe
We disabled the self registering through email to speed up the process and only use the hikashop ReCaptcha. Is there no automatic validation on the email field?

Hello,

Normally during registration your user to obtain an active account must confirm from his email, and so if the email isn't valid the account is created but not active.

From this, there aren't any risk to have active account with false email.

Hi,

To speed up the process we disabled the email confirmation because we already have reCAPTCHA eneabled.

The customer filled in @kliksafe but forgot the .nl and Hikashop add this after the e-mail address v34087.2is.nl
v34087.2is.nl is the servername. It seems that if the extension is forgotten that somehow this is automatically added?

Is this correct? And is there a way that you can't continue if the email address is not valid?

Can you give us more information about it through some screenshots for example ?

Hikashop won't do anything to your User emails, as Hikashop users are actually Joomla users, so you should probably check your Joomla configuration.
