Advanced Date Picker usage in products?

Hi, i was wondering if if would be somehow possible ( paid or otherwise ) to have this checkout component customised so it could be a product attribute, in that i could set the date specifics in the backend for each product in the shop that has this attribute.
The date picker looks ideal in that i can make certain days inactive and also add in specific dates to be unavailable, which would be perfect for selling date specific tour ticket products.
Is this possible to do?

Would it be possible to have more details about your request ?
I have to admit that I don't see clearly what you're talking about.
The advanced date picker can already be used for any kind of custom field (order, item, product, user, address...) so I'm not sure to see what you want to perform.

Sure. The site i'm looking to do offers tours. An example would be a "countryside tour". this countryside tour has three different tickets for sale, adult, child and student.
The tour only operates on certain days of the week, eg. Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and doesn't operate on certain days such as Christmas, New Year.
The way i see it working is that a Category could be the "Countryside Tour" then the products can be the 3 different types of ticket required, so they can order multiples of certain tickets.

Would date picker allow you to do this? and can the date picker operate individually for each product. I can send you a private message with the current site so you can see how it works, thanks.

Hi,

Okay, I see what you're looking for.
You want to use an "item custom field" but where the restrictions for the datapicker could be override using a product custom field.

Well, the best I guess will be to duplicate the "advanced date picker" plugin (hikashop / datepickerfield) in order to create a new kind of custom field and add some little code to be able to override the custom field restriction date from the product object.
But in the function "display" for the custom field, for what I see, it is not possible to get the product object. So it means that the best is to look for the product id in the parameters. The custom field will be display on the product page (where you can easily have the product id) or when adding the product in the cart (for the custom field check part) where you also have the product id in the parameters.
