hks menu item and php file

Hi
I try to understand the relation beetween view ( sub view =layout) ,menu item , filter for product view .
I think i need to understand this before go to datepicker filter( BE and FE client form) post 1 , post 2 , post 3 .

when i read those post :
-a module picker is use like a filter ( a plug in will be too general)
-in which file ( new ?) the php code must be write to link datepicker range module with filter on product data ?
-in the capture screen i don't find relation for some items beetween A ( directory php file ) and B ( mlenu type item) !!

Implement date picker filter could be achieve when we really understand joomla php ecosystem code !!
