category listing menu ID

Hi,

I am trying to figure out the relationship between Joomla menu ID / Page URL and the category listing menu ID. I want to lookup the category listing menu ID using the current page URL

I would like to grab this info direct from the database but cannot find where category listing menu ID is stored.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I'm not following you.
By menu ID, I suppose that you mean menu item id.
The id of a menu item can be found on the menu items listing of the Joomla menu manager.
The menu item can be of the type "hikashop category listing", but it is the same for any menu item in Joomla.

So I don't see what you're looking for in the database ?

Ahhh, yes. I was looking for the value in the #__hikashop_ tables but it is in fact simply the Joomla #__menu `id` that I needed.

Funny how sometime you cannot see the woods for the trees. :D
