Discount per gram

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1

We would like to offer some customers a discount per gram of product ordered. The price of the material may fluctuate but we want the discount to remain fixed. So for example if a customer orders several pieces of bronze jewelry, each at various weights, the discount would be x cents per gram of bronze...even if the product price (which we calculate using material * weight) goes up or down.

Can this be done?

Hi,

By default in HikaShop there is no option for that.
But it has plenty of triggers for developers to override the coupon system or the product price calculations via a plugin which would allow you to add such capability. You can read more about that here:

AWOCoupon also has an integration with HikaShop and can handle many discounts/coupons systems for HikaShop, so you might want to contact them and see if they could propose a solution with AWOCoupon for your specific need.
