-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.schuurpapierxl.nl
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.28
-- PHP version -- : 5.5
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : all
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : After adding a coupon code the shippingcosts are added

When an order is ready and more than € 100,- no shipping costs are required. But as soon as we add a coupon code like SXL55555, shippingcosts are added to the order.

Hello Jan,
Your issue is probably coming from the fact that you have set the "Include virtual products price" option to YES through your shipping method configuration page.

Mohamed,

I tried this one, but that wasn't the solution. Now shippingcosts were always added, even above € 100,- and with or without coupon code.
Turn it of again.

Hi,

Please enable the option "Coupon percentage applies to product only" in the coupon settings.

I had the exact same problem and enabling the option 'Coupon percentages applies to product only' works and keeps my 'free shipping' option in place but now it causes a new issue.

The discount only applies to the net cost before taxes.

Switching the option 'Coupon percentages applies to product only' back to 'No' makes the discount amount correct so it's applied to the total but then shipping is added back on again.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Did you try changing the "include virtual products price" setting of your shipping method ?

Yes I did. It is currently set to 'yes'.
If I set it to 'No' then it chooses the wrong shipping method.

Hello,

The discount only applies to the net cost before taxes.

Then you should set the "Apply discounts" option to "After Taxes" via "Hikshop->System->Configuration->Main"

It is already set to apply 'after taxes'. Out of interest I set it to apply 'before taxes' and it works correctly.
Since my coupon is for a percentage discount it should calculate the same result either way so this is a strange result.

To check I can leave it like this I created another coupon with a flat rate discount but this then adds tax to the discount. (so at 20% tax a £5 discount becomes a £6 discount). So I've fixed one problem and caused another.

In the coupon, if I set 'product tax category' to 'none' then the coupon is correct and remains at £5 but the total tax calculation is incorrect and is incorrect regardless of the configurations I choose.

So still having the same issue.

Hello,

but the total tax calculation is incorrect and is incorrect regardless of the configurations I choose.

If the Discount value is equals to what you want and the tax is calculated on everything but your discount isn't it ok ? If not, can you give me more information about it and tell me how do you want it to work.
Thanks :).

EXAMPLE 1
Main Config - Apply After Taxes
Shipping - Include Virtual Product Price - YES
COUPON 10%

RESULT
Pricing/Discount/Taxes are correct
Shipping switches from 'free' to a paid for shipping price which is incorrect

EXAMPLE 2
Main Config - Apply Before Taxes
Shipping - Include Virtual Product Price - YES
COUPON 10%

RESULT
Pricing/Discount/Taxes - Tax calculated incorrectly
Shipping switches from 'free' to a paid for shipping price which is incorrect

EXAMPLE 3
Main Config - Apply Before Taxes
Shipping - Include Virtual Product Price - NO
COUPON 10%

RESULT
Pricing/Discount/Taxes - Tax calculated incorrectly
Shipping doesn't calculate correctly even before coupon

EXAMPLE 3
Main Config - Apply After Taxes
Shipping - Include Virtual Product Price - NO
COUPON 10%

RESULT
Pricing/Discount/Taxes are correct
Shipping doesn't calculate correctly even before coupon

Hello,
The best solution will probably be to use the examples 1 or 3, the only issue that you are facing is regarding the "Include Virtual Product Price" which is making your shipping methods selection to be wrong.
If you set to NO, and that you want the price of ALL your product to be taken into account, make sure that the products that you have in your cart aren't "virtual goods".

OK, I've tried this but it's not working as it should. How do I check that the products aren't virtual goods, I can't find a setting?

You'll just have to go to your product configuration page and set a weight/dimensions on your product.

Is there a way to mass action this so I can put the same weight (or dimensions) into all our products as we have nearly 2000.

OK, I've managed to mass action so everything has a weight in and managed to get everything to calculate correctly. Here is the set up.

All products now have a weight
Main Config - Apply Before Taxes
Shipping - Include Virtual Product Price - NO

NB Additionally I had to turn off 'Display the cost per unit weight' in main config as this effected the look of the price now a weight is included.
