Yes, I am sad that I won't be able to use HikaShop because of this issue! :-) But, I keep hoping they will change their mind... :-)

Once again

Please note that I never said that we will never make an integration with EasySocial. I just said that we didn't had such plan in the short term. It will come, when we'll have time to spare on it, or if someone else comes up with it before us.
Thank you for your input. As always, the more people request something, and the more we look at developing it ;)

since a long time I only read topics about a possible future ES integration
I guess there are a lot more people who just read and (patiently) wait like I did, until today I "Voice" for it please make it todo priority ;)

Hika Team and Stackideas Team are the same kind of VERY active good coders and you both have VERY efficient and friendly support forum.
You should contact each other and work together on integrations, not only easysocial but also Komento...

Hi,

I have to admit that we started a EasySocial plugin but it was more tests than a real implementation, so it did not really go forward.
My personal main problem is that I don't know how EasySocial works and what would be the best features to implement.
With my 4 years on HikaShop (HikaMarket) ; I have no problem with the e-commerce part but I'm a real and full noob for social components (all of them).

I wanted to see some people from Stackideas during the JAB but I don't see them (there were a lot of people so really I don't know if I missed them or not ; but I looked for Stackideas tee-shirts) ; but I still have the Mark card when we talked in the JAB 2013.
That's why we talked with Nicolas and we will send him/them an email in order to start a good integration ; I'm sure that they know what would be the good feature for an integration with an e-commerce solution, what will be the required notification, etc.

Here is what I would be very happy to have integrated with EasySocial. When a person creates their first order, then all the Name/Address/Email/Phone fields are automatically pulled from Easysocial to stop the need of the buyer filling in the fields twice.

The only other thing that I would need would be helpful (but not necessary) would be a place on the EasySocial home page for each user (the member "wall") have a module of purchases. This is not as essential as I am guessing any Hikashop "Orders" module would do the trick.

So... at least for me, my integration needs would be very simple? I have seen several other carts do this integration well (and quickly) but I am really hoping Hikashop will do this as I have the most long-term confidence in Hikashop.

So... perhaps integration with EasySocial is a lot easier than Hika developers are worried about?

Hi Jerome,

More than any component adding features to a social component is a question of UI/EX you need a KISS approach.
In that matter EasySocial integrates applications (APP) from partners some with have more functionally than others than can be downloaded for free others are paid subscriptions.
Yesterday Mark made quite a significant change by turning some free apps to a paid lifetime subscription (similar to hika styles, you pay once for a lifetime access -OFF Topic: You promised to add new styles but you still didn't...I'm sure you admit they are outdated...End Off topic-).
Here's my first input for integration:

1. Profile type custom fields
Custom Fields have (unique) core title and description that are automatically translated e.g. Joomla username:
Title: COM_EASYSOCIAL_FIELDS_PROFILE_DEFAULT_DESIRED_USERNAME
Description: COM_EASYSOCIAL_FIELDS_PROFILE_DEFAULT_DESIRED_USERNAME_DESC
Options are mainly: Show Title - Show Description Yes or No
Custom Fields should be all necessary fields to Hikashop/market e.g.: VAT (possible online check???), Terms and conditions, paypal account, etc...

2. Hikashop-Hikamarket APP
The app has multiple purposes like adding a widget on the ES sidebar (one or more links) to display informations directly or link to a page e.g.:
For Customers direct links or integrated pages to: My Wishlist - My Carts - My Customer account... (The issue is we cannot display a product that is unpublished or deleted !)
For Vendors (integration is best but link to vendor's page is cool): My Store (list of product or categories) and links to vendor control panel.
It is important that other users browsing the profiles see the profile is a vendor and are able to look at the products/services of the vendors (product listing - categories listing, .. ???)
The APP could have an integrated cart (still displaying in the sidebar of ES)
How to do this? Create an app from scratch or a "call integration" like modules anywhere?

3. User Points
Create rules to earn-loose-spend points

4. Badges
Create rules to earn badges
Compulsory badge should be a vendor badge assigned or removed upon vendor published/unpublished state in hikamarket

5. Alerts
Email and system notifications

6. Privacy settings
Custom fields privacy for customers (no need for this it is the ES user profile or possibility to show to other members what he bought) - Vendors custom fields are compulsory visible by law...
The issue is we cannot display a product or a vendor that is unpublished or deleted !

7. Email activities
If a new product is added a notification is added to the ES stream and other user can like and comment, emails can be sent to participants

8. Reports
Ability for users to report a vendor or a product

9. Stream
New vendor - Adding a product - Vendor user review (Comments with Komento) are pushed in the ES stream

10. Maintenance?
Here you have to contact Stackideas...

The comment system should be Komento that is a stackideas component perfectly integrated with easysocial.
Komento should be integrated in two ways; one for hikashop (to rate and comment the products of a single shop) and one for hikamarket to rate and comment the vendors.

Hi,

First, about the off topic part ; yes we are full aware that the styles are now outdated and we wanted to add new styles but we got some issues which couldn't be predicted so the work we started to make on the new styles has been postponed and we want to restart that project as soon as possible with our new designer.
In the mean time, we had more and more template integration but for sure, it is not an excuse.
So ; that's for the off topic part !

Thank you for your stack of ideas ! (my apologies...)

I am currently working on a development website where we will install EasySocial, HikaShop and HikaMarket ; thanks to that website we will be able to share with the Stackideas team and go forward on the implementation.
Using that configured base, we will be able to work on the integration of the different parts ; on the beginning we want to focus on the HikaShop and HikaMarket parts ; but the points integration is also a good idea that could be a good improvement of the "user points" plugins which are already support "HikaShop user points" and "AlphaUserPoints".
(And we will not forget Komento but it will be in the next part)

With the help of the Stackideas team for the EasySocial part ; we will all focus on our specialisation.
So for the moment I'm preparing our new development server in order to have a good shared system.

I came accross this post while researching for a Joomla Ecommerce component that can have integration with EasySocial. I'm not looking for much but a way for my users to pay through EasySocial Points - that is EasySocial as one of the payment options.

I found that Mijo Shop and Quick2Cart have Easy Social Points as one the payment options but I like HikaShop and Hika Market more.. Can the developers please update on this? This is the only thing that is stopping me from using Hikashop :( :(

Hi,

HikaShop have two plugins for the point support: "hikashop userpoints" and "hikashoppayment userpoints".
These two plugins are compatible with AlphaUserPoints and HikaShop user points (a user custom field).
Adding the support of EasySocial points is not too complicated but it requires some development.

According to the EasySocial documentation ; it's possible to create "point rules" to gain or loose points.
But because HikaShop will need to use a dynamic value for the points (to credit some or to use some), that's not possible to use the rules like explained in their documentation.

In that case, we have to directly get the points value in the EasySocial user and modify the points using a "assignCustom".
Well, it should be possible to integrate it in "user points" plugins for the next release.

Hey Jerome, thank u for responding.. So if I'm understanding it correctly ure gonna integrate easy social points with ur existing points plugin in ur next release correct? When is the next release expected?? My site is all setup nd I'm only waiting for this, if it takes too long I'll have to go with another ecommerce solution which I wud hate to do but I'll have no choice :( :(
I wud love to pay for this plugin so u can release it as a paid plugin nd im sure there are many like myself who are waiting for the same..

Hi,

I can't say when the next HikaShop release will be made ; but the "user points" plugins have been improved.
These plugins are already existing and provide with commercial editions of HikaShop (essential & business).
So, if you have an HikaShop essential license ; we can see to send you a preview version of the user points plugins.

Thank you for the info Jerome but I'm not interested in any point system other than Easy Social since I have a Social Network for a community where I want to reward the members by letting them buy stuffs using their Easy Social Points. If that could be done, I would be really happy and will buy the commercial edition of HikaShop
