Multi step filtering of products

Hi there,

Sometimes it would be nice to let users search for a product by letting them filter products step by step.
For example in the first page you show all categories. People can select 1 or more categories and click on "next page".

Then there is a page that shows a filter by another field, lets say "brand" . All possible brands are shown for the products that are in the categorie(s) that are selected in the previous page.

After this step people might select all possible values for a custom field. This page only shows the values of a custom field that are valid for the products that are filtered in the first 2 pages.

Hope this makes sense to you An example of this function can be found on hollandopleidingengroep.nl/ (in dutch...) by clicking on the big orange button "vind je opleiding in 4 stappen". This is created in Seblod, but we want it to migrate it to HikaShop.
