Speeding up filter module

- HikaShop version -- :2.2.3 Business edition
-- Joomla version -- : 1.5.26
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.8

Hi,

Still I am testing the Business edition on a local testwebsite.
I've configured the filter module to search in all products. It's working fine.
But: it's rather slow. I even get a white page for a second before the pages with results shows!

The shop is part of a website which is not slow and the search plugin from Virtuemart 1.1.9 (which I used before) was very fast.
The shop has 17 categories and about 550 products.

Perhaps the configuration of the filter is not optimal.
The filter module is redirect to a product listing menu that is hidden.
I've choosen a hidden menu because I don't want to show all products in the category listing. I know I can hide these products listing using CSS, but still the products are loaded and that may slow the website.

Please suggest how to speed up the filter module.

The good news is that my configuration appears to be in order.

I can't give you a link because I'm testing on a local copy of the site on my computer.

Next week I'll install Hikashop on the live site.
If the problem still occurs I will post again.
