Search Options for Business

Hi,

We have Joomla 2.5 and are considering upgrading to 3.0 or higher. Part of our site is an online store, so we recently changed from VirtueMart to Hikashop to our site. One of the main problems that we have found is that we have lost the ability to search for products via our search bar. We want customers to be able to search by both item/ I.D. number as well as by product name. If we upgrade to a higher level of Hikashop, will it accomplish that? What are the search or filter options?

To have this kind of search, you have to use the Joomla search module, and enable the hikashop product search plugin.
In this plugin options, you can add search columns, like product name, code, etc...

To have a picture, you will have to edit the results view of the search, which is a Joomla one.

Another way to have a search is using the HikaShop filters, you can create one filter of the "text" type and apply it on the product name, or product code, id... what you want. And the results will be displayed under an HikaShop product listing, so with the desired display. You can use the filter module to display that search field where you want.

Thanks. If we upgrade to Essential and later decide to go to Business, can we pay the difference between Essential and Business, or will we have to pay the full amount?
