Hello HikaShop team,

in the HikaShop configuration under Display -> Filter you can access the filter options.

I want to create a filter that recognizes the letters or numbers of the product name of the variants of a product and then displays the filtered items.
This is only possible if I use the text filter and the product_name and product_description. But I want a drop-down filter which filters in the product name and in the variant of the product. In addition, it is important that I pretend the values in the drop down filter.

Is it feasible?

Best regards
Daniel

Hi,

I am sorry but I don't understand what you want to achieve with the filter, how it is suppose to work.
But for what I understand, I don't think that is possible with the filter system. It might be possible by modifying HikaShop but I can't be sure with my current knowledge of your needs.

Hi Jerome,

when using the text filter must be set in which category to filter the input, for example in product_name or product_description. What I need is a drop down filter which filters into the product_name and product_description. The values to be selected in the frontend are to be determined from me what should be displayed.

It is useful for me because I can create a separate filter in the created features and options for each product. Because I have more than 100 properties that differ in size, and I need to a filter that.

Hi,

There is no possibility to do that.
I would recommend to create a custom product field where you would list all the possible values of the filter dropdown and in each product, select the relevant values for the product in the custom product field, and finally, you would select that filter for the filter to be applied onto it.

Hi,

Thank you. But have one more question. When I enter the values in the custom product field, for example, 115, 125, 150, I get the following in the frontend Showing: 115 to 125 and 125 to 150. What should I change the values are displayed individually?

Remove all the values that you entered in the filter. You only need the values in the custom field.
If you enter values in the filter, the filter will display ranges of values so that you can use your custom field as an input field instead of a dropdown.
