Hello there !

I have a question about the Hikashop search tools to fit my use.
I' d like to use two search modules, one for the content (on all pages except the shop pages) an an other one for the products on the shop related pages. The idea is to put them on the same location but have a specific text inside the search form ( To let the user aware of the searched items). Unfortunately i can't specify a specific module to the hikashop search plug-ins.

Is there a way to get this done ?

Otherwise, is there a way to add beneath the search form two check boxes to specify the searched items ?

Thanks for the support !

Hi,

The Joomla search module doesn't support search by plugin type.
However, it could be added with a few code tweaks to the module.
Here is a starting hint: www.ostraining.com/support-forum/joomla-...lar-component/#62768

Otherwise, HikaShop has it's own search system that we call "filters":
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...-filter-listing.html
So you could create a filter module that would display a text box to search only through the products and that would display the results as a normal products listing.
And then you would simply disable the HikaShop search plugin used by the Joomla search module.
That solution doesn't require any code change so I would recommend it.
