Joomla Search Not Working with Hikashop At ALL?

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.3

I cannot get the Joomla Search function or any third party search tool to work with HikaShop
I see other folks have problems with the search results, but I'm not getting search results related to products or categories

I did all that and it is still not working
I don't remember having to any configurations in VirtueMart and Joomla Smart Search works just fine!
I think I did the configuration right but Smart Search still does work with HikaShop!
Is there a tutorial on how to set this up correctly??

smartsearch replace com_content implementation in joomla core . hikasop search is not base on this new implementation !!
Use joomla smartsearch ( enter the begining of the word for show a list of item "completion") implementation and it 's mysql ( storage) to index all the content ( full text) of joomla object ll be slow . So best can be ( for big website) to forget joomla php / javascript implementation and use for index / store/ search " full text " another way like solr ( apache tika , helios Distribution for solr or Adobe Splendor ...)

The issue with joomla is that talended developper after implement really usefull extension leave the boat with no support !!! Hope php code ll be documented ( does hikashop code source is documented ? ) it is a problem of free software , with microsoft it is more stable !! read some disussion beetween core developper make me sad !! no technology is better than others , in all case there is some avantages / some issues ... .Joomal rock when you think high level and know low level ( javascript css )
