filter display order

Hi All,
just wondering if there is a way to have search results display in date or ID order?
at the moment when search in products - they return alphabetical ordered results (across multiple categories)
i would like them to display in id or date order - is this possible

i know that my hikashop version is out of date - i have just rolled it back after experiencing errors i have been unable to resolve (in another forum topic)

Hi,

You may want to consider creating and including an additional filter of type "Single dropdown" applied to "Sort", with sort options added as per your liking. Then the site visitors will be able to sort search results depending on the options you are selecting.
